Report Releasing Ceremony : India’s Largest Door-to-Door Survey on Communication Disorders
Health Parliament and International Patients’ Union in collaboration with Delhi Branch of Indian Speech Language and Hearing Association (Delhi branch of ISHA) conducted India’s Largest Door-to-Door Survey on Communication Disorders, and released the Report which revealed a prevalence rate of 3.05% for communication disorders in the Delhi-NCR area, 6.17% in Kashmir and 2.4% in Jammu.

V Care Foundation is a non-governmental organization aiming to provide free medical, financial and emotional support to cancer warriors and their family members. Ms. Gupta who is herself a cancer survivor interacted with the Health Parliament team and briefed them about the little things they can do at individual level to help anyone surviving with cancer.

Health Parliament team got an opportunity to meet and interact with Prof (Dr.) Ashima Nehra, an expert in Clinical Psychology from Neurosciences Centre – AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi). She was awarded a gold medal on ‘Guidance and Counseling’ by Punjab University, Chandigarh.
She shared her valuable insights on Psychology and the role of counseling in life with us. Looking forward to her guidance on the project – Mental Health to Social Health through which we would try to de-stigmatize the term mental health.

CanSupport
We visited CanSupport, that runs India’s largest free Home-based Palliative Care Programme. They run Out-Patient Clinics, Day Care Centers and training programmes.
Palna, New Delhi
We visited Palna, a programme of the Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW) which is a home for abandoned, homeless and destitute children from new-borns to 8-year-olds.
Salaam Baalak Trust, New Delhi
We visited the Salaam Balaak Trust, an NGO which provides support for street and working children in the Delhi-NCR.
Bal Sahyog, New Delhi
We visited Bal Sahyog, a social service organization founded by late Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1954 for the care and protection of orphan, helpless, abandoned and neglected children.
Shanti Avedna Sadan, New Delhi
We visited Shanti Avedna Sadan a non-governmental voluntary organization, run by a charitable trust. It is a hospice centre that provides symptomatic treatment and holistic care to terminally ill cancer patients free of charge.
Senior Citizen Centre, New Delhi
We visited the Senior Citizen Centre, New Delhi which is run by the New-Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). This is a public space with a library, and indoor games facilities for the elderly.
Rural Health Training Centre, Najafgarh
We visited the Rural Health Training Centre, Najafgarh. We observed the implementation of various healthcare programs and schemes at the grassroot level.
Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi
We visited Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi. The centre has sophisticated accelerator systems and experimental facilities in the areas of Nuclear Physics, Materials Science, Atomic Physics, Radiation Biology, Radiation Physics and Accelerator Mass Spectrometry.
IHBAS (Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences), New Delhi
We visited the Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) which is a tertiary level Medical Institute dealing with patient care, teaching, training and research activities in the field of Mental Health, Neuro and other Allied Sciences.
